My Mission

I’m Billy Hioureas.
Back in the ‘90s, I turned my childhood dream of becoming a professional wrestler into a reality. I had tons of unforgettable experiences training and competing at Rick Bassman’s Ultimate Pro Wrestling in Southern California.

The absolute highlight of my brief pro wrestling career was facing John Cena in the ring for his very first pro wrestling match! But not even the formidable combo of Troubled Youth (yours truly) and Funky Billy Kim as the tag team Jobbers ‘R’ Us was enough to bring down John Cena that night.

Even though we took an L, I treasure my memories of competing with John. From the moment I met him, it was obvious he was destined for superstardom. He was hard working, respectful, and always wanted to learn more. Those keys to success took his career to the top of the world!
On a personal level, I’ve always wanted the people I care about to see the video of this significant piece of my history. On a much wider level, I truly believe the world would love to see where pro wrestling’s perhaps most legendary career all began. I’ve been trying to find this footage for years, but to no success.

I heard that Bassman sold the UPW tape library to World Wrestling Entertainment years ago, but perhaps WWE don’t even realize they have this historic footage themselves?

That’s where you come in! Please join me in signing a petition requesting WWE let us see John Cena’s first match.
Pass along word of my search to everyone you know – loving family, dear friends, wise old turtles, and whoever or whatever else you’ve got! It may take all hands on deck to make this happen, but I believe with enough support WWE will share this glimpse into the beginning of John Cena’s legendary career.

Let’s make this happen!
Do you want to see the unaired footage of John Cena’s first match in 1999? Let your voice be heard by signing this petition to World Wrestling Entertainment to let millions of pro wrestling fans witness this important piece of wrestling history.
We need all the signatures we can get to grab WWE’s attention. Please forward this petition and help gather as many signatures as possible.
